hey guys i have a question. where do you have your amps grounded in the cavys and fires? i just used the screw part of the spair tire holder but i dont think its strong enough of a ground. it worked fine in my old 97 but the 02 i dont think its strong enough.... just mention where you have yours grounded and if you could display a pic of it if possiable. thanks...
sand down the paint.
drill a hole
use a 3/8" bolt and nut with washer.
bolt it to the sheetmetal.

thanks dude. i'll do that when i get home. sorry for asking a embarrassing question but the amp is causing the speaker to go in and out even without music to it and i remember the last time my systme did that was when i had 2 amps and i had a ground loop so i think this is caused by a weak ground... i'll try it.. thanks again....
I have mine grounded on the left side of the trunk behind the carpet.
By the hinge there should be a part of the body going between the fender well and the top part of the rear quarter panel. There is a hole already in there large enough for a
3/8" bolt.
I just used a nut, bolt, and 2 washers to ground my amps.
If my camera battery wasn't dead i'd go shoot a picture of my grounding setup.

i did what was mentioned and it works awsome... much much better ground..... thanks guys....
any one know a good ground in a 1994 cav?
In my old 91 cav, I used the pinch weld that holds together the wheel well in the trunk. Just sand the paint away and use a bolt.
i used the seat belt mounting bolt on the rear deck above the back seat..
