i have just completed the big 3 upgrade with zero gauge. Now before it was installed, i had a reading of 13volts to 14 volts. After the install the volts went up to 15 volts. My question is if i have a constant flow of 15 volts to my battery will this hurt my alternator or the battery or both ?
Won't hurt anything...
The voltage regulator in the alternator limits the output to around 15 volts... now if it suddenly starts spiking up to, say, 20 volts.. then you'll have issues.
