If YOU work in a shop, what is your opinion of Alpine? We are considering picking up Alpine, currently we carry Eclipse. What is the quality, reliability, etc in comparison to Eclipse. What kinds of warranty issues have you run into?

when I was at CC it was probably the most reliable product wehad. Very few returns. In a year and a half I saw one returned deck

I don't work for a place but I can tell you form talking to my installer (Marty @Soundzplus) Alpine is having big backorder problem lately, the decks with the motorized face plates the little gear for them was defective so they had to recall them all back and replace that, the new V12 amps are finally started to get delievered, those have been hard to get form Alpine lately. AWSOME product (I have all alpine and will never change) but yeah thats my $.02. By the way I sent the link to him so hopefully he can give you some more insite (hes on JBO)

LOL pay no attention to my profile, its al for @!#$s and giggles.... my car is setup for sound quality so it only hits a 138.8 db which is still preaty damn high for an SQ car... but click my site and it takes you to my site with everythign about my car

The complete lineup is some of the best quality and performance for the $$ -

It is true that they have had some issues with some radios - but this just shows their commitment to not shipping less than perfect product.

We have been a dealer for 3 yrs ... they continue to be our best seller!

I prefer Alpine over eclipse any day...no real reason why, just personal preference. I love alpine, and I'll have nothing but.

on a side note...Darkstars' stereo is NUTS. So loud, NO distortion, easily top 5 stereos I EVER heard, and I heard some doosies

I do not work at a shop, but i do install audio equipment, and my car is going to be about 80% alpine once i finish body work and get some cash. and i have done a lot of work for people with alpine equipment, never had any issues with them, LOVE their speakers and head units especialy, always perform good, tons of options and features for the money, no matter what line of head units u get from em, (currently running a 9830, waiting on delivery of a 9855 for a customer), all and all, they have some great sounding, great performing, and very reliable stuff.


On the other hand....you have other fingers.
