What are the whitest lights that are 100% legal that are available for 2003 Sunfires and what sizes would they be? I'm looking to get a set of new lights for my Sunfire in a week or two, but I'm having trouble finding these. I want a diffetent look for it, but still within legal limits.

H9 and H11 are the sizes, i believe. I don't know where yo ucan get them, they are hard to find.
ebays the only place i could find them when i was doing my conversion. and there the blueish tint ones, not the white ones. if you find the white ones, lemme know
Sylvania doesnt make the silverstars in that bulb? they area about the whitest you will find out there.

If your car came with them, they're of course legal.... but HIDs were never available for the J-cars... and the conversion kits aren't legal... so.... they will NEVER be legal on a Sunfire or Cavalier

Soooo... pretty much there are no legal white replacement bulbs that I can get for my 2003 Sunfire? That really blows monkey nuts...
HID's aren't legal on any car that didn't have them stock(hahaha)? Thats the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Prove that one.

HID conversion kits were banned in October 2004 by the NHTSA. The NHTSA has been suing companies who were selling them, making them provide their customers with conversion kits (back to stock) at no charge. Not good for business.
SEMA is appealing it. Keep your fingers crossed.

I think he has a misconception with white bulbs...and HID's. True HID's are conversion kits, require wiring, and other stuff. White bulbs are just plug n play
Although Silverstars are awesome headlights, they are not made in H9 or H11 sizes...

there are others. like said ebay sells blueish ones. i had these and hated the light outputso i got ones now that say xd5, i dont remember the website but evansville j-body told me about them i like them, silverstars DOES make 880-st bulbs for your fogsas well as the xd5. hope that helps
