Aight all. I have the AVIC-N1, and have for a while. Ran into a little problem today when I installed my rear-view camera. I no longer have the purple trigger wire that plugs into the master unit and goes to the reverse circuit. It has a resistor in it though, or else I would just run a straight wire from the reverse on the car, to the unit. Anyone with an N1, if you have the time and easy access, if you can find out the resistor value (or at least the color bands) for me, that would be a big help! Thanks again!
I think it's backwards, but may be. I'm looking for the value of the resistor in the line for the back-up camera

I'd just like to be able to hook it up completely. Thanks a ton!!!
what are the colors on the resistor?

that's what I need... I don't have the wires anymore, and I know they had a resistor inline. So I need the value or colors so I can get the same value, to wire them up.
I see. Sorry, can't help there. Try sending Rodimus Prime an email. I believe he has an N1.

Pink is for the speed sensor, purple is for the reverse.
As far as the value of the resistor? I dunno about that one.

I have the N1 but i have no idea what your talking about as far as a resistor? i just wired things where they are supposed to be

^^ well, the included purple and pink wires for the reverse and speed sensor circuits have a small barrel-shaped piece near the end. If you pop it open, there's a resistor wired inline. I assume to step down the 12 volts to something else. But I've lost the wires
Are you sure it wasn't just a fuseable link?
<img src="http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v290/americonium/Heavy_weight.jpg ">
yes, 99% sure. I remember opening it when I first got it, and saw the resistor. That, and the owner's manual shows a pic of it, and says "Fuse Resistor" in the diagram. God I suck, losing wires lol.
i know how you can find out, call tech-support
I can probably find out for you tonight if not sometime tomorrow.
