im looking for great sound quality and a hard hitting sub should i get a 12" alpine type R or a 12" infinity 12.1 kappa perfect?

I have them. They kick some major butt. It is starts at 300 watts to 900 watts. My buddy, he got some rocker fosgate and them things bump real real hard. I dont know. It is your choice.

look into image dynamics, boston acoustics,focal,mb quart, just to name a couple.

are alpine type R's for SQ or SPL?

Today, I saw some Alpine Type Rs and they kick 1000 watts. They are strong and Alpine Type x does too.

i got a buddy that has a set if the Alpine type R's and they sound prity good but i have a set of Kaption 12D2's, 12" subs from a small but fast growing companey in canada, and there just the best speakers i have ever owned, i have had them for about 2 years now and just a few months ago i had a wire come outa one of the voice coils on the sub. so i checked all my paper work and my subs where outa warrenty so i was down at the local audio shop tellin them what happend so they called there rep for kaption up and they told them to ship them the speaker and in 4 days they had a brand new one for me, i payed a lil more for the subs ($500 a pice) but to me it was totaly worth it

I have 2 10" kenwoods, and I think they hit real hard comapaired to some of the other brands such as kicker and Mtx

Im all about JL Audio, second I would pick Rockford Fosgate I think there the best 2 in the car audio in the industry, if your planning to over power your subs then I wouldnt use them, over powering is more of a compition thing, if ur gonna do that go with MTX , or MA, I herd MA was @!#$, but the d00d that holes the Indiana record uses 6 MA's so if that helps u choose lol..

well for loud go with the alpine but if your looking for more SQ you cant really beat infinify. Of for both look into the Infinity 12.1dvq. Those subs rock and are very underrated.

are rockford 12" punch stage 2's good for SQ?

I have one of the infinity kappa 12.1 with a 1000 watt amp and it hits pretty hard and it was cheap too

yeh rockford is real good SQ one of the best imo...

rf is a good sub, i can think of allot better and allot worse.

I like diamond a lot, they are a very clean sub.

anybody here ever heard of adire audio? their brahmas are supposed to blow away anything and they are reasonable prices. www.adireaudio.com i'm looking into getting a couple 15" tempests for my car, just gotta figure out where i'm gonna stuff 2 15" subs in a j-body and still have any room lol.
