Because of our awesome accommodations and my undying loyalty to MTX, I've decided to build a complete mtx system, finished by the middle of summer, at the latest. First up, is my Alarm. Although not MTX, I'd be retarded to not have an alarm with my plans. Its a DEI Python 700 alarm (I have the exact model written in my car, but I'm inside now.) Next, I place my order. One pair of Thunder DomeAxial 2-way 6.5's, one pair of Thunder DomeAxial 3-way 6x9's, a Thunder 8512-44 sub, an MXA 6001 (for the sub), and an MXA 6004 (for the mids). What do you guys think, for less than $500?

You have to work at Circuit...
Those MTX interiors are insane.... One of my coworkers put them front and rear over his Type R's and the sound is so much cleaner and louder. since you get a nice discount you might as well go a little better then just the coaxials. you also have to get the SledgeHammer box.
Front: TX6001 Thunder Axe 6-1/2" Separate (You can mount the tweeter in the speaker if you want and it will give you component sound.)
Rear: TDX6903 Thunder Dome-Axials 6"X9" Triaxial.
Sub/Box: SLH-T8512-D Single 12", T8500 SledgeHammer 2 Ù 500W
4ch Amp: The MXA6004 is nice but you might want to step up to the Thunder5604
Mono Amp: I would go with Thunder4501
Security: You can't go wrong for $140, for top of the line.
^^ This is just what I would go with. Your set up will sound nice also.
Hell if you get a nice discount you might as well go a little better then base model amps. Thats my opinion.
looking at the specs, though, the thunders didn't seem all that much better than the mxa's, and they take up more room
As for the box, I build my own. Always.

Oh and the 4channel amp is 100rmsx4@4ohm...just a lil fyi
Why not use your one time discount on kicker and get everything from them for free shipping. I worked at circuit city also. that is just my opinion.
But kicker sux.

Cannon fodder is my daddy.
Have you guys heard the MTX speakers amped yet?? They sound like speakers on crack.

They are F***in insane. Every single set that we installed, you could crank the volume all the way up and would sound crystal clear. They sound even better amped.
As for the amps, yea the MXA series will do the job, but i think the thunders look better and will do a better job. The thunders have the Xtant cooling and the lights.
I'm definitly going with a MTX set up through work. System will probably run me around $1500 for a 5G System. Those guys at MTX are @$$ holes towards any one calling about the accomodations. I called them up for exact prices on the items and shipping and they wont tell you. All the @$$ said was that it is 70% off retail and 7% for shipping.

Yeah definetely go with components upfront. I just put my reference series in and they are so much better than the coaxials. It is like night a day, the clarity of the music is very remarkable

In my opinion........kicker is garbage,i am not impressed with there speakers/amps/subs.....way to over priced,we sell the L5 in a ported kicker box for $400,that is just insane for a 600rms sub that when you pump 600rms to the sub it sounds like @!#$ when you crank it,there interior speakers HA $199.99 for a 6.5 component system that handles 45watts rms and peaks at 130watts? Of course we get a discount and besides them sounding like crap compared to polk and infinity i would never pay that much for anything that low quality. In my opinion kicker is way overrated,every1 thinks there amazing b/c of the solo-x which is an amazing subwoofer but not for $1400,what most people dont know is the solo-x doesnt play any frequencies above i believe 52hz,you need an amp with a subsonic filter and a 3 cubic foot box with a port for it....so sorry kicker but ill never be "Livin Loud" atleast with your garbage i wont
I dont base anything off the stuff average people could never afford or more importantly use. I had 2 kicker comp 10" subs in a regular cab truck running off a koiiler 7676 amp and they sounded really good and hit hard. I never comment on any brand i haven't owned myself. Everybody's tastes and expectations are different so whatever cream fills your twinkie.
