gain setting help?

Alrighty, i just bought a new JVC LH-810 for my sunfire. I got everythin hooked up and whatnot, and now i'm not sure what to set my gain on my amp to. My headunit has 4 volt pre-amps. My amp is a 1200 watt 2 channel Bazooka P-Miller Amp.On my gain there is a screw there, and it says Min on one side of the circle and MAX on the other side. So with 0% being all the way to min, and 100% being all the way to MAX, about where should i set it to get clean SQ bass. I have no need for SPL, all i want is for my sys to sound really good. Another questino, what should my crossover be set to? Just like the gain screw, on one side is 60hz, and the other side is 240 hz. Where should the corssover be set at? I have pioneer 4-way mids in the rear and pioneer 4x6's in the front (got them from a freind, 6" componets are my next buy). So with 0% being 60hz and 240 being 100%, what % should i set my crossover to for SQ? Thanks for the help

It all depends on what speakers are being run off of the amp, like actual information, example brand names and speaker models, and if you know the specs for what the speakers are rated for then set the crossover to that.

brand of speaker has nothing to do with setting your gain.

speakers power rating has nothing to do with setting crossover points.

if your setting your gains...you should have just done a search..you would have found this thread... http://www.j-body.org/forums/read.php?f=4&i=84439&t=83977#84439

for your sub's LPF....set it to around 60-90hz range..depends on what your fronts are set to though.
