what all has to be done to spray a 200 shot just kinda wondring i have never heard of anyone doing it on a j
Forged pistons, forged rods, some type of head gasket that can take really high cylinder pressures, (MLS, or o-ringed head), a progressive controller, or two stage setup (if you want to keep the stock crank), a set of plugs that are a couple steps colder, and an MSD DIS II ignition to use for retarding the timing. It would also help to have sodium filled exhaust valves put in, or at least get the stockers coated with a thermal barrier coating on the face of the valve. And I'm not sure if you can find Hellfire rings to match whatever forged pistons you'll be using, but they're the best rings to use with nitrous.

What Nitro said but add: clutch or beefed up auto trans, must be a direct port set up, slicks or drag radials, and axles. Headwork and a header with open downpipe would help alot with power but isn't NEEDED.

Head and exhaust manifold or header will probably need extensive porting. Stock head only flows 125 CFM. Port and polish without opening up the holes larger and port matching the header flange will give you about 175 CFM and that still isnt that great. Once my turbo header is made I'm having my head opened up and the flange opened up to match it. I'm hoping for 225-250 CFM.

A lot more than running 20 psi and in the end it WILL give you about the same HP wise.
Turbo all the way.NOS stickers lol.

Can't say I agree........

See Nitro everyone has their own opinion, but you are running 100 shot on the LD9 and your motor is holding up and it is suprising.
There are many, many people that are running 10 psi on the stock LD9's and don't have problems, and get just as much.HP wise as you get.
So I mean what is there to argue.
Turbo gradually climbs and Nitrous unloads all at once unless you are running progressive, but I don't see anyone here that will be running suck a big shot where they will be investing in a prograssive kit, but you and maybe a handfull of others.

And nitrous is easier to tune, lol. Honestly, all you need are some simple safeguards and some common sense to run the 100 shot.
<img src=http://ourworld.cs.com/jwithspray/Jbeier_sig3.JPG>
Ya its easy to tune unless your making adjustments between elimination rounds lol.
Nitro seems not too many people here really have much experiance with nitrous!?!?!?
or really understand how simple it is to use--comon sense! I can blame every motor I blew on myself but one! fuel solinoid hung open and flooded the cranckcase and blew out the bearings.

by the time you spend all the money of doing all that work to your motor for a 200 shot...wouldnt you be better off buying a different/better car?
not really
could you imagine a 400-500 hp Jbody, would be one hell of a ride
04 sunfire auto, mid 15's n/a, and still going
Well im building a turbo engine for my car now, but the itch to put giggle gas back on the car in the meantime is almost too string to ignore, so im thinking about doing a direct port setup fro around a 100-125 shot that can run on the car for now and then go on the new engine and just be there to back up the turbo if i ever needed it.
Only thijng is im not sure the plastic/composite stock intake can hold up when you drill and tap for the nozzles and not blow them out under boost.
