hey guys im thinking about spraying a 75 shot instead of the 55 thats in there right now but i dont want to have to retard my timing 4 degrees so if anyone here is running this without retarding their timing let me know if you have been having any problems Ohhh ya my kit is a zex dry kit if that makes a difference
Nitro (here on the Org) has been running a 100 shot on his 2.4. i dont think he ever had any problems
id make your dry kit into a wet kit unless you have the proper feul mods. and retarding the timing would be a great help. less chance if the engine going KA-BOOM!
Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
if you want to go 75 I would suggest getting a wet kit
Abso-fuggin-lutely!

wet kit definitly!!!!! use 100 octane and you shouldnt need to retard the timing. that is what i have been using with no prob's what so ever with a 75 shot
One step colder plugs (NGK TR6's part # 4177) and 93 octane is fine even for the 100 shot I use.

but should i really worry about retarding the timing on the 75 shot because i dont have to for the 55 shot thats in it right now
I don't, but that's entirely up to you.

i just finished my kit saturday, and went to fayetteville test and tune sun. i got a 14.90,
but i could'nt hit the gears hard because i have a baddly worn clutch.
hey guys what size jets do you spray, not hp, but decimal size, ex. .030
Retard the timing over a 55 shot!!!! Would actually retard it at 55 on a dry...
This could be you:

ummmm i dont know what the heck you did, but there is absolutly no need to retard the timing only running a 50 or a 55 shot.
That plug was from running a 75 shot wet with no retard.... My DIS2 went out on me..
Since then I have ordered the DIS 2 Programable and stepped down to the TR7 plugs.

well im running the zex plugs that were recomended for the nitrous kit and they havent failed me yet and i have a connection at the local air field and i get 100 octane race fuel on tap so im going to try to bump it up to 65shot and if that feels good im going to do the 75 shot
dont run race fuel unless you have to, race fuel is leaded and will kill 02 sensors in a few minutes.

75 shot is pushin your luck, but you might get away with it for a while. Just keep an eye on your oil.

What fuel jet were you running?
"dont run race fuel unless you have to, race fuel is leaded and will kill 02 sensors in a few minutes."
Not all race fuel is leaded. YOu can get unleaded race fuel. I would not run leaded race fuel with the cat, without a cat you are ok.
People have been running 75 and more wet kits on 2.4's forever and a day. Do searches you will see. not to say something can not happen because it can. Set it up right, do not abuse it, you should be fine.
