msd 8969 window switch

nyone using this?

how did you wire it?

the instructions say it is a switched ground, so i figure i wil need a relay to use it with
a zex 82021 wet kit.

I think i read soomewhere that i could use the rpm switch to turn on the TPS signal to the zex box?
has anyone tried that?

what should the WOT TPS voltage be anyway?

might there be any complications of turning on the zex box power while it will always be at WOT and in the RPM window?
as in, its only on at an activation point?

I;m too lazy to go look at what model that is, but I'm sure it wires up the same as the one I had. On mine, you just wire the normally on ground(there should be a normally on or normally off ground cut out wire on the switch. you want normally on.) to the ground on your zex nmu. then you wire up the other three wires (power, ground, rpm) for the switch and the 2 remaining wires for the nmu(power to switch, tps). Then you just set your rpms on the unit and it will cut ground to the nitrous and break the connection when outside of your "window".

the unit can only handle 2.5 amps, so I would assume a relay is needed.

You use the window to provide a GROUND.

No need for a relay.

current is the same on + wire as - wire...
so, it needs to support 10 amps.

You don't need a relay.
