Hey all just got my MSD DIS 2 installed and im wondering if you can tell a difference in the motor when you retard the timing. I have it retarded 4 degres and was just wondering if its working or not... My box has the dip switches on it.

You should lose some power.. don't know how noticeable it is though.

1 degree every 25 shot of nitrous so unless your running a 100 shot your retarding too much

Chassis dyno or ET slip perhaps yes.....

I was able to feel a difference when I was pulling out around 5 degrees of timing, which was probably too much. If you pull out too much timing, you might start melting sh*t inside the motor.

Becareful with the MSD. I had mine on for about a year and it started acting up. It was stalling the engine out and acting all funny.
