This should be a pretty simple request... in both these pics are you keep the car in color and make everything else black and white
Heres the 2 pics so you know what your working with, click them... each one is a link to the hi-res version with no watermark
thanks in advance
sorry, you get the watermarked versions back.
56k + 5 MB downloads = death
But based off the 2 previews, I'd go with the first one in my opinion
Are you using photoshop?
I need to get a hold of photoshop so someone can teach me how to do that lol thanks
Yeah, I'm using Photoshop, but should be able to do it in GIMP / Paint.net
What I did was use the lasso tool to draw the car outline (had to zoom in a bit), inversed it, then copied the background into a new image.... the 2 don't have white backgrounds, just when I saved 'em as JPG, it puts the white background in)
Set that new image to greyscale (in PDN under the adjustment menu), copied and pasted back into the main image as a new layer on top. That allows for some fine-tuning if needed.
i'm gonna try it out tommorow. thanks
just lasso the car, make the car a new layer via copy, and then desaturate the bottom layer
I find it easier to use the pen tool to make a path then create a selection with it... you get a much more accurate line
i wanna play too!!
played with the contrast and shadowing levels!!
ok, so i took a few more minutes to play with the first one... i had a huntch that with the background it would turn out much better than the first one i did..
version1:
version2: (little darker bg)
..i think i was right
i can do the full res versions later if you'd like
