My mustang toon

Well after looking at all the toons going on here, and seeing people giving it a shot on their own, i decided to open up GIMP and give it a shot
btw I <3 pentool

here's the outline


and heres what i took it from

(obviously i used a higher res image for the tooning process)

thats my progress so far, my hand is a big cramped from using the mouse
i know the outlines need a bit of cleaning up

also, if anyone has any tips for colorizing chrome parts so they look more like chrome than silver, that would be great
and color tips in general, as well as what to do for the background

Hey all, this is my first post but ive been lurking for a while. I'm a graphic designer with an 02 Sunfire, I thought i would try and give the other photoshoppers some help with the sigs, chops and toons. I'll see what I can do i suppose.

Its a tutorial for the exact same car as you have tooned here, maybe its a coincidence and you havent seen it. If not there are some awesome tricks on this guys movies.

ok so i figured that id update this thread
i decided to scrap the whole outline i had, it was waaayyy too busy and i didnt layer things like i should have
so i started over and decided to do this as a fathers day gift type deal
so here is the final product, which im pretty happy with
comments, criticisms, tips, etc.



i did shave the handle, rear reflector, and license plate
they took too much detail and wouldnt look right in the pic because of the angles
