How to request... watermark/logo, how do I do it

Paint.net is a free photo editing software, form what I've read it works very well for minor stuff, works great for touching up pics and things like that but nothign special for big involved chops. http://www.getpaint.net/index2.html

What I'm trying to figure out if how to add a logo to a pic.

You can take a background image, and layers. I would think the pic is the background image and the logo is the top layer. I can make a new layer but I can't figure out what to do with the layer, how to put osmethign on the layer.

Basically I'm looking for a how to on how to make any pic look like my sig. I have no idea how to do that. I don't need the shadowing or anything, just the text.

thats the text/logo if it helps. Thanks

Correct. You should be able to copy and paste as a new layer... How, I'm not sure (don't use paint.net)

Here is the logo, non-antialiased (the shading bits). If someone can chime in on how to add a new layer, all you have to do is select all the white and delete. Resize it and instant watermark. If paint.net can control transparancy as well, that would be even better.

Actually, its small enough... I can d/l it and figure the important stuff out

Ok.... here's what I have. Since its your thread, seems fitting to use one of your pics

Starting with this pic:

Paste your logo as a new layer

It will give this error, click on no if it does...

It should now look like this:

Hold the shift key and click and drag one of the corners to resize it.

Use the Magic Wand

To select all the solid color (I used the slightly modified version above)

Hit the delete key, it should then look like this:

Go to Layer Properties:

Adjust the Opacity

Success!

I just downloaded the beta version since it was the first one there I normally use either PaintShopPro or Photoshop...

(that reminds me.... I need to un-drunken-edit my sig... photoshop + alcohol + new year's eve = bad)

Open the logo file, Select all (under Edit), then copy.... go back to your picture file and paste as new layer
