Either Photoshop or PaintShopPro.... all depends on what mood I'm in at the time (and what exactly I'm manipulating)

I have Photoshp 7. If I feel ballsy I'll use MSPaint. Paint came on the computer, and Photoshop was free.

^ lol

photoshop goes from $99 for the stripped elements version to somewhere around $800 i think for the suite.

also paint shop pro is not under the JASC company anymore. COREL bought JASC somethign like a year and a half ago to consolodate and strengthen their attacks on the adobe market share hold.

so the main choices are
Adobe Photoshop
Corel Paint Shop Pro

there are a few other smaller ones, some people like GIMP which is free.

Adobe Photoshop CS2 is one of the best all round...
Autocad maya (3D program)
Fireworks
JASC Paintshop Pro 9
Gimp

If your just getting started GIMP is the way to go, just google it. It's open source (meaning free)and there are alot of tutorials out there you just have to find them, also it can what Photoshop can do... I could probably host you a copy if you can't find it on the internet...
