Smooth or not...all comments welcome
Wednesday, October 05, 2005 9:47 PM
I tried covering the grill with cardboard on a road trip and I was pleased with the results(much better mileage). Now im thinking about making the grill cover permanent. I would compensate for the lack of grill space with a bigger air dam so cooling isnt an issue so this is purely on looks. What do you think.
Also...is there anything like this on the market that you know of? I couldnt find anything.

Before

After

heres a picture of the gm/socal cobalt with its ultra smooth front end...I was thinking something along those lines...it looks like they just riveted smooth pieces into the stock bumper?

less air to your radiator, plus it makes it look like a drag car, but not as fast

Hopefully that works. Just an idea of how you can make it look. I tried to go with the look of a 95-99 Z bumper. Thats my first chop ever and I did it using paint so it might look a little rough

thanks mike...I was wondering how that would look. I suppose I need to leave some opening to pick up air for brake cooling ducts since mine fade to nothing when I drive it like I stole it. I was also thinking about moving the fog lights to the middle and using the stock holes for brake cooling. dunno...
