How do you get ahold of Dave??? This isn't some big marketing thing as others might see it as, just something to help pass along the site. I'm just looking for an image that anyone on this site can print out and distribute any way they see fit.

Its not that its a big marketing thing, its that the J-Body.org is copywrited and you cannot legally reproduce it and hand it out. If that were the case, I could make "promotional" materials like shirts with the Nike symbol on it, the Taco Bell dog flipping off Ford in the Calvin & Hobbs style... I'm sure that if you owned a business, and somebody wanted to put your businesses name on some marketing material (small or big), you'd want them to get permission and run it by them first.

shifted is right. if you owned a business, would you want someone to make up an promo flyer without asking and just start handing it out? a bussiness owner might be conserned that said promo may innapropriately represent the business, reach a less than ideal target audience, or even offend some individuals. i'm not saying any of that specifically would happen, but it's something a business owner would think about. whether or not you use the actual logo, there is still the name of the site you want on there. and the name itself represents the entire site. this is something to definitely check with dave himself. he may even give this project a lil push. worst case scenario he says no and you don't have to get it designed or printed.
well, I e-mailed Dave right now. Time to wait for a response. Thanks to anyone who has been helpful so far , whether this idea flops or not. I feel a little better about the people on here, this is the first post I have done that has had a positive response. Others have just been overly constructive criticism, and basically disrespectful comments and responses.
