well my dad has had this in the garage for awhile now and could someone take the top off and change the color any color you would like we just need some ideas of what we can do 2 it for are next project please just do anything 2 it,any help will b appresated sp?

God no, leave it alone, original restorations = billion times more value than a custom. Plus they're a lot rarer.
