has any one done this and can use explain what needs changed and just the little stuff u will need ????

it has been done, you need,
of course : Engine
Transmission (5speed or whatever choice you want)
Clutch Pedal
clutch reservoir
Different center console (or cut a hole)
axle
Tach (if you dont have one)
i dont know what else, i was thinking about swapping for a 2.4 but then i figured ill stay with my 2.2 since every one does a 2.4 =( ill just swap a 5 speed later =)

If you want to run the 00 computer... you'll need to swap EVERYTHING in the car.. including the fuel tank, lines, etc. ABS module changes. So does the Airbag module. The dash plastic, as the cluster won't fit.

Pretty much gut the donor car... put into the swap car. I've done it, three times... it's not a walk in the park. Crossing the 99/00 line is a major pain in the arse.

well the car is going to be a r ace car not a driver so i dont need all the junk in side but i got the motor in the car know had to cut the mounts off the 00 car and weld to the 97 but its all most ready to fire up thanks for the help keep it coming
