Hi guys i have a issue here trying to narrow it down. i just swapped a eco from a 04-05 cavy that ran(was tboned) in to my 2000 cav. the motor is in and from what i can tell we got all the connections besides the cat sensor(ive ran cars in cluding the donor with out that plugged. i did the pass learn the light goes away. brand new battery, fuels good i drove the car into the garage. after the pass lock learn i turn the key and still no go. i cleaned and checked all grounds. this was a runner in the old car. this is however a diff harness the old one didnt have abs. ive tryed now with two diff ecus. i tested the fuel pressure line and it spits fuel. im down to i think either the secuirty didnt take and is holding me up but the security light that was solid is now out like normal,or the dang spark isnt there.
im stumped. also the black sensor with green cap on it connects to the intake mani and goes to a hard line under the car up top that broke have a new one coming tomorrow. looks like a vac line, maybe issue? Im stummped as to why she cranks and cranks and cranks yet doesnt turn over and run. i will be testing for sprk tommorow. like i said it was running when we pulled it out.Say it is spark wwhat are some fixes. weve been testing options for now two days(few hrs each). im fusterated now since im sooooooo close to haveing the car running again after my ld9 broke a bearing last april. but like i said we jumped the car and she ran fine so fuels old but good. Please help me out to get it to run.
When i did mine we forgot to reconnect the crank sensor above the starter, I had to also get a new starter but it sounds like your actually cranks, While mine clicked. Check all your connections

2000 up 30 Minute Learn Procedure
Tools Required:
None
•Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
•Attempt to start the engine, then release the key to ON (vehicle will not start).
•Observe the SECURITY telltale, after approximately 10 minutes the telltale will turn OFF.
•Turn OFF the ignition, and wait 5 seconds.
•Repeat steps 1 through 4 two more times for a total of 3 cycles/30 minutes (the vehicle is now ready to relearn the Passlock™ Sensor Data Code and/or passwords on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK).
Important: The vehicle learns the Passlock™ Sensor Data Code and/or password on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK. You must turn the ignition OFF before attempting to start the vehicle.
•Start the engine (the vehicle has now learned the Passlock™ Sensor Data Code and/or password).
•With a scan tool, clear any DTCs if needed (history DTCs will self clear after 100 ignition cycles).
omg dude if this works ud be the man i will hopefully try this tomorrow. ive tried it twice for ten mins nothing. then i tried for a hr straight nothing. i will most def try this im at my wites end on it im 99%there with it.
When doing this, make sure you have a charger on the battery, you do NOT want it going dead when you are doing the relearn.

This is Wayne on Jessy's account: We tried this and it didnt work. Wonder if it has anything to do with lights listed below. We have security, check gauges light, traction control off light, & service engine light are on with key in on position, which we didnt have before. Can't get theft light to go out.
hey anyone kno how to unhook the trunk button on a 04 cavy
the one on the lower dash is just pushed in using a pressure style retention and the cord is plugged in in the back side.should be able to reach behind and sqeeze the sides to push out its easy.
Hey found what was stopping me. When i got the motor n harness fron the donor the car didnt have abs but i do so i needed to change the harness. well every thing was plugged inb correctly and all but the crank sensor plug one the new one was sooooooooo close it wasnt even noticable. but the one on the new harness was a tight pin plug where as the sensor had same pins just with a slight gap inbetween. so idk if it was changed when he had or gm did since its a 05 eco. but shes running just need a eco throttle cable n im good. thanks guys

true but now i got issues. slow accell and low power. idk i still have the 2.4 cable and its got lotta play, two no cat or exhaust. so thats maybe my low power. also gas is almost a year old too soo idk. but my thremo housing theres a bolt pissing coolant on the 9 mile drive home tonight. first time she was on road. need help on that now.
