I am looking into putting a factory cruise unit into a non cruise 97 sunfire i have been looking at the wiring diagrams and the parts from the salvage car and the only concern i have at this point is the 3 wires from the cruise module to the PCM which are the Vehicle Speed Input, Cruise Status, and Cruise Inhibit. i can put the wiring in the harness or connector at the PCM with no problem as i do alot of custom wiring on vehicles as a profession. My concern is, will the stock PCM on a non cruise vehicle have the proper provisions for cruise control in its programing already or will i need to get a PCM from a vehicle with cruise or will i need a reflash of the PCM? Thanks
i read the article and didnt see any mention of the pcm wiring. so i can just put the wiring into the plug at the pcm and i will be fine?
