alright guys heres the deal. well i just got my 97 z24 build done fully built turboed i was working on breaking the engine in a little before i went to get it tuned . i left it at my girlfriends house becasue it started to snow reall bad at the time i didnt have the battery box in the trunk right . so i went to fix it the next day i wasnt thinking and yes call me dumb i know its a dumbass move i hooked the battery up backwards wasnt thinkinmg at all about the sparks i was still happy that it was done and i turned the key . well i checked all the fuses checked the inline fuse oit was blown fixed it now all that it is doing is turning over . I checked the ignition module which i have converted to the 2.2 swap . the prongs the one for either coil i got a test light and they light up one on each side but there is no fire from the coils to plus . ? and the theft light stays on solid . i tried something i went and got a 2.2 cluster i had from the other car i had and it started blinking and after ten min it went solid again ive double checked everything and i cannot get it to get fir injectors have pulse and everything fuel pump works everything does just nothing out of the coils to plugs if anyone has a vlue please help im clueless now and loosing hope in it and its my fault for screwing it up lol .

Does it fire for a second then cut out or just not start?

friend you don't need a test light, just attach a plug to it and set it on the bock or a good ground, test light lies if you didn't check to see if it light up by touching pos on batt, also check your main, ecm, pcm, bcm fuzes. pull all the fuzes if you half to. just so isolate the problem. If all the fuzes are good

for security system leave ignition open for 15-30 mins and come back and see if it starts

is it factory or is it aftermarket?

Electrical is all factory .i have checked all the fuses hooked a scan tool to it and it just reads oxygen sensor and egr which i already new about and it read that before all of this . Sorry if there is stuff misspelled im doing this off a phone

I have tried putting the spark plug on the block no spark at all .tried the leaving the key on several times lights still on there is one wire that goes into the ignition module that if the key is on and u put a test light to it it is live i believe it is orange so i know that part is working .i thoight it was weird though when i put the other cluster in the theft light started to blink could be the cluster maybe evrything works on it as far as i know

I got a volt meter and i put it on the ground prong on the ignition module and wen i turn it over it shoots up to 7 volts ive heard that means the ignition module is bad the positive side gets 12.59 which is good im geussing let me know what u guys think i need some help im offal at electrical stuff and i rally need to get this thing going
