Is it part of the pump? Should I replace both at the same time?
My gauge only works when Im above a half tank otherwise it reads erratically so I figured I should get it fixed before I get stranded again.
Second question isnt there a higher volume pump that comes from a Blazer or something? If there is can someone direct me to where Id find this? I figure I might as well upgrade if Im replacing it.
Thanks guys.
Edit: Found stuff on the Blazer pump.

Gotta love people that have no idea what there talking about
NO IT IS NOT PART OF THE PUMP
the pump assembly ( fuel sender comes as a package however the only thing on this package that isn't there is the level sensor you can buy this separately i know this as a buddy of mine just bought a fuel sender for his GF 02 cavalier
next time if you don't have the right info bud don't post theres enough post that mis-inform people on here we don't need more of them

So would you suggest replacing the pump too as a preventatvie measure since Ill have the tank down anyways? Or do the pumps last awhile in these cars?
When mine went bad I got one from ebay, it's a stock replacement, and it works perfect, and it cost like 30 bucks. Well 50 with express shipping.
Your car may do 13 sec @ 103 mph, but my car does 146db @ 35 hz.
Blazer Pump FAQ
I was reading this about the Blazer Pump and it almost makes it seem like Im going to need an external FPR which is something I dont really want to get into since well my motor is stock.

the only thing about the blazer pump is it doesn't have the cup feed venturi nipple look up the racetronix pump for what your doin just buy the pump you wont need the rewire kit think its 149 US can't remember but thats the pump the high performance guys are using i have to order mine. this will prevent the fuel cut issue i personally would change the pump at the same time unless its newer but if its orginal and you have more then 80 000 miles or close too i would change it
but search the performance forum for the RACETRONIX FUEL PUMP

I dont really need a high performance pump right now. I figured Id just swap out for the Blazer one since itll probably cost about the same as a stock replacement for mine and will give me a bit more fuel if I do ever dig into the engine. But Ill probably just get an OEM replacement.
the blazer pump isn't much cheaper then a racetronix pump i think here in ontario its 120 CDN for a blazer pump nad 149US or something for racetronix pump the blazer one you will likey have fuel cut issues at 1/4 tank and for the 3rd gens if yo buy a PUMP you get the assembly minus the level sensor (GM) if you buy the pump asembly (aftermarket) you get everything
