I need some advice as to what engine I should swap out with the one currently in my car it's a 2200 SFI 2.2L.
If what I'm reading is correct from other posts I can do either a NVM T-550 or a 3800 Series 2 Supercharged.
Also with doing either of these engines I would not need a new transmission or change the mounts for said engines.
If this is not so and I'am mistaken please let me know.
Also out of the 2 engines if they are possible which would be a better fit for my car in terms of performance and reliablity and availablity of parts?
My engine currently has 193,112 for mileage and has been damn well reliable the majority of mileage is highway and I really want to keep it around for longer and have been thinking about doing this type of thing for a long time. The only parts I have had to replace in the engine compartment are the clutch and radiator hose.
I also know that I will be needing to upgrade my alternator any suggestions there.
My last question as well is that am I correct in thinking that body parts from a newer model Cavalier will also fit to me '02 as well for instance the majority of the front end of a '05? (its not neccesity I just like the look of it more then that of the '02)
So any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
The body parts are a direct swap. For the engine i would personally swap in a 2.2L Eco and boost it. It is very easy to do on 2000+ Js. Unlike the L67 which requires a customs subframe and custom wiring.
219whp - I <3 whine
Ok thanks for the first bit but if I were to not have a problem doing a custom sub frame and custom wiring or is the 2.2L eco just really the best bet to go with?

the New Venture Gear T-550 is a transmission, not an engine. and so far as i'm aware, it only bolts up to the 2.3/2.4.
