3400 w 6 Speed tranny

Has anyone that has done the 3400 swap looked at using the 6 speed tranny from a g6? Would they bolt up and would it work?

Bolting it up to the engine would be the easy part.

It's been looked into, and it wouldn't be what I would consider a major project, but the tranny is pretty large, will take a custom flywheel, and custom mounts.

They share the same bolt pattern, but they use a "dual mass" flywheel. I know someone has put one on a 3400 before (IIRC, it was in a 2nd gen), and they had to use a custom flywheel, which was big bucks.

it can b done they bolt them into grand ams with3400s. u use the fly wheel spacer from v8archie and would have to make some custom mounts, plus g6 cables and shifter, plus mabey adapt the slave. a six speed f40 would be sweet but it is heavier and bigger. would be a project.
