So I swapped a 3100 into my 95. I used the tranny out of the grand am, I use the shift cable out of the grandam, I used the axles out of the grandam, I used my 2.2 motor mounts and the grandam motor mounts to make mounts the bolted in my 95.
The problem is if I turn all the way left or right.. I blow up my cv axle, literally.
Like if I turn left all the way, and give it too much gas, it goes clang and then i get out and look under the car and there are a few pieces of cv axle lying on the floor.
same thing if i turn all the way right, except for its the right cv axle that does it.
I have tired multiple cv axles and i cant figure this out.
I really would appreciate it if someone could give me some type of help.

I bet the axles are too long. so with it fully deflected, and giving gas, the ujoint locks up and breaks.
Ujoint? Like whats used in RWD driveshafts?

also, it always breaks on the tranny side of the axle, like it gets pulled out when i turn, I put the grandam struts on if that makes a difference.

not U-joint like RW drive... The CV axle is just like one of those sockets that is a "ujoint." it's not identical, but it is the same principle.. Look in the suspension section of the NWF swap stuff. You'll see all of the symptoms of wrong sized axles in that thread.
I would almost bet that is your issue with this swap.
I don't know if putting in the grand am struts will make a difference.. possibly changing the center section of the cv axle, for a shorter one.
But I'm only guessing, because it's easy to guess as an armchair mechanic, with nice and clean typewriter hands.
use j body shafts what trans do you have

I was going to use the 2.2 axles but they didnt fit in the 4t60e tranny.

Definitely sounds like a shaft length issue. By what you're saying, it sounds like they're too short.
Well I made my own axle for the right side by using spare cv axles, it was a driver side 2.2 with a different cup for the tranny. It was about 1/2 to 3/4 inch longer then the v6 axle. I put it on the passenger side. After that the drivers side broke. So I might try to make a custom axle for the drivers side to.

I forgot to mention that I broke 3 stock axles on the passenger before I made the custom axle, and now the drivers side is doing it.

i think its the same axel i think there equal length shafts so it doesn't matter
if it doesn't fin you use the 4T60E inner CV and the rest is a j body shaft guys do this all the time

One last question, How safe would it to be to put spacers between the cv axle and the hub to make the axle seem longer than it is?

i wouldn't do it at all if you need a longer axel just make the hybrid i don't unerstand how your having such issues with this the 3100/3400 in a J body is down to a science now 3800 theres still info thats not out there with out asking but if you take the stock 2.2L drive shafts both right and left and remove the INNER CV HUB and replace it with a 4T60E INNER CV HUB you should have no issues if your trying to do something else i don't understand why you would when its a simple fix
i believe the autos use the same shaft for the right as the do the left but don't quote me on that, i'm pretty sure the aleros do

Thanks bro, nothing I read on here said anything about what axles to use with the 4t60e, atleast the search didnt bring up any results. Thanks for letting me know why my car keeps breaking lol.

Nothing wrong with trying new things, but when you do something major like a transmission swap, you need to research things like your axles, to make sure you don't cause yourself problems. If there is no infomation available, just start inspecting the vehicles and taking the measurements to figure it out. Trial and error with some parts can be dangerous, or at the very least, expensive.

he did and he hybrid axel'd his car aswell
this is the same situation for the NFW suspension swap they use cavalier shafts but the replace the other end of the shaft (outer CV hub) with the N body. if you searched and searched and couldn't find it just make a post saying i searched but not 100% sure what i'm looking for then state what your doin and we will help its the people that just post without searching that get to us

I'm using the Park Ave axles but with a custom length shaft... got lucky, equal length! 13 inches a piece...
hmmm.. I just read the the TC wont lock if the engine reads too cold, and wouldn't you know i didnt gave the CTS sensor plugged in..

It sounds like you really need to take some time and go over your wiring. Make sure you have full wiring diagrams in hand.

LOL... been there before man. Sitting wondering why the CTS wasn't giving the MS a reading after I wired in the 3-wire sensor. Then I actually pulled the plug out and was giving a real good look over the connections before realizing that I just picked it up, and it wasn't plugged in.
