Okay here goes. I am having a big issue with my 2.2. The car drives fine and all, but I am having an electrical meltdown. You start driving and the gauge needles on the tach and the RPM gauges fall and then flip back up, and so on and so on. The service lights start flipping on, every one, but the check engine light. My radio flickers on and off and my headlights flicker. Plus, my AC blower gets cold, then the AC kicks off, but the fan still works. We put a new ECU in and that's not it. We checked radio electrical wires.
We're kind of lost for ideas. I checked google and couldn't find anything. I'm sure someone out there has had the same type off issue. I appreciate any and all help. THANKS!!
There is a ground under the battery tray. Make sure it is tight, and not corroded.

As mentioned it's the ground strap going from the negative terminal to the battery tray. Check that it's tight, and check the yellow butt connector in the wire to make sure it hasn't burnt out or come apart.
I suggest upgrading that to a separate 4 gauge strap. You won't have an issue ever again.

Slowly but surely may some day win this race...
Mine also has that same exact issue. Odd part is however, if you check the fuse panel, you only lose power on 6 fuses. These include the interior fuses, and the exterior light fuses. All other fuses have power to them. If it was always a battery ground issue you would probably see a loss of power over all of the ciruits one would think.
Although checking the grounds is a good idea. I Have narrowed My particular issue down to the wires between the fuse/relay panel in the engine bay and the c100 bulkhead connector. I am thinking it is a broken/corroded hot lead wire. Lord Knows when I took the wire wrap off near the connector there was enough spliced wires (5) including a red primary wire. however those looked ok (even if they were pulled far to tight). Next will be an inspection of the harness between the box and the connector. (since I only went to the "T" in the harness).
It is one of those really odd things. You can turn the lights on, and everything goes away, then you can step on the brake and everything comes back. you can be driving down a smooth road and it will blink, while driving over a really bumpy road and nothing happens. definitely sporadic.
