So I have been searching around but Im readin a lot of mixed answers. Also a lot of auto to 5 speed swaps but I wanna stay with my auto. I have a 99 Fire with the 4 speed auto and I want to go to a 2.4 and stay with the 4 speed auto. Im trying to locate a 99 GT or Z24 just to make life easier. Ill probably be doing a full build on the 2.4 if I go this route.

So I need:
Motor
Motor Mounts
PCM
Engine Harness

Do I need the trans off the 2.4? I remember reading that I do somewhere. Whats the difference in the two that I would? What else do i need?

Yes you need the trans off the 2.4 LD9. Bell housing is different.
