2.3 to 2.2 ecotec swap
Saturday, August 22, 2009 6:10 PM
i was wondering if it was possable to do a 2.3 to a 2.2ecotec swap easily. I had the opportunity to buy a friend of mines z24 that has a blown 2.3 with a blown engine and automatic transmission. I just so happens i have a wireing harnass in my garage for a 2.2 ecotec with the engine any help would be great, if the swap for this was to difficult i was going to try the 3400 swap, i do realize how much work that is and have the list on how to do that swap already

Has to be a 95, and why go down in performance and power?

96 was the first year of the 2.4L and 95 was the last year of the 2.3L (bastard year)

2.3 HO swap will be much easier.

to go to the Eco, you'll have to essentially switch the whole car to OBD2.
