Your post is pretty vauge, I'm going to guess you are refering to a 2.4 since you are asking about a block off plate. Yes you can ditch the power steering but you have to loop the lines on the rack or it will be a b!tch to turn. Even with the rack lines looped i think it still might be a PITA on the street. Mine are looped but mines track use only and I have no complaints, only benifiets.
To ditch the pump you could either, loop the lines on the pump and keep fluid in it to keep the bearings in good shape. Or ditch it and put make a block off plate.
Why are you ditching the power steering anyways?
yes it is a 97 z24 and i have never really had power steering on my cars and one of my hoses just busted the high pressure one and so i just wanted to take it off period and i don't know if its just me r not but with the power steering off i have a better feel for the wheel but thanks for ur input looping the hose can i cut the return and clamp it on to the high pressure

Yes you can loop the return on the rack. I took a pipe cutter and cut the steel lines about 2" from the rack and then just put a rubber line in to connect the two. But thats easy when the rack is on the bench, dont know how much room you'd have to work down there when its in the car. I used a few worm gear clamps and have had no problems.
Ditching the power steering definatly gives more road feel, thats why I ditch it on the race car. I dunno why you'd want more road feel on a road car but I can actually feel when the front end is biting and when it isnt. With power steering the wheel is easy to turn no matter what and you lhave less of a sence of what the front end is doing. Good for a street car i guess, but thats not what I'm after.
thankx alot man do u ever flush it out

I ran the last car for 4 seasons without ever flushing the rack fluid and had no problems. I dont see it as something you'd ever really change. Maybe every few years if you where ambitious.
