99 sunfire Fuel Pump

The fuel pump in my 99 sunfire gt died on me. I have seen fuel pump repair kits on ebay where they give you just the pump and strainers to replace instead of the entire sending unit. Does anyone know the part number or what these pumps came from? I don't realy have the time to wait for the pump to come in the mail from ebay and I dont want to spent $280 on the entire unit at the parts store. If I new what the pumps on ebay were from I could just get that from the parts store. I also noticed that in the FAC section someone used a pump from a 92-94 s10 blazer with the 4.3 vortec motor. Will this work on my 99? Any help would be great, thanks

you can buy the "kit" and it is a little more hassle but it def. saves alot of money, you know you can buy the same pump from a parts store without the sender unit right?

None of the parts stores in my area have just the pump. Does anyone know if the s10 pump will work? I have a new carter pump for a 93 blazer.

I got a complete sending unit and pump from an 05 for $100.00 shipped, only 11,000 miles on it.

sorry for double post, but what about doing a swap in a 2003? Have a bad pump assembly laying here and would like to rebuild it as a back up.

Actually, you should go to rockauto.com. The "kit" on there is cheaper than the "kit" on ebay.

All those are full sending units. There is no problem with my level sensor or sending unit. I was hoping you would just know what pump to put in there.

As for the Racetronix, thats more flow/pressure than needed for a stock setup.

Putting a Blazer pump inside the sending unit and not being able to go below half a tank doesn't make sense. The sending unit is still going to be the same place, you're just R&I the pump in it.
