i have a 97 sunfire 2.2l DOHC 5 speed and im lookin to put a 3.4l in it. i saw that i would need a new transmission and what i want to know is if the 4t45-e with a 3.29 ratio along with the 3.4l engine will bolt straight in or how much modification is needed. thanks

first, stop right there. the 2.2 was an ohv engine, and the dohc was a 2.4. so what do you really have?

its a tranny with 185000 miles on it so i was planning on getting a new one...and what youre saying is all i need to buy is the 3.4 and nothing else...no mounts or anything?...cause if not that aint covered in the sticky...thats what i was asking in the first place
or at least i didnt see it...im sorta new to customizing stuff so i may not see it...even if it is right in front of my face
