I have a 1997 sunfire GT, i am really enjoying this car and this morning when i drove it to work i stopped at the gas station and once i left it wouldnt go into second i shifted to third and got on the highway i got up to speed i had to force into to fifth with a little grinding. 1,3,4 seem to work fine. is this a transmission problem internally or is it a cable problem.

i would check the cables ive had problems with mine b4 and had to replace one then 3 months later the other.
