---is a 2200 sfi in a 2002 the same motor as a 2.2 in the 95 to 99s
---and is it worth the truble to swap fo an ecotec for the amount of power you gain?

yes and no

it is the same motor in the 98-99 but not the 95-97
98-02 are all the same
96-97 are the same
95 is by itself

you can swap a 96-97 into a 95 but you can't swap a 95 into a 96-97 since the 95 block doesn't have a Cam postion sensor

you can swap a 2200 into the 95-97 however there is a bit of wiring to do depending on WHAT year it goes into

as for eco depends on the year 2000+ are drop in 99 are little harder but since the evaps in the rear thats 1 less thing to dink around wiht but the 98 and older isn't any harder then a 99 just have to either move the evap to the rear and get a new line kit or just leave it in the front fender and wire it up and add the line theres a tread that breaks it all down

as for worth it depends if you want power then 100% worth it if you want reliablility NO its not both motors are extremly reliable and i would stick with what you got but the eco gets more power easier then a 2200 does
