Hey guys,
I have a 2000 Cav (2.2L) and the engine died a few days ago.I have found two engines for it, one is from a '02 Cav (2.2L) and the other is from an '01 Sunfire (2.2L)
I have been told that the wiring harness on the '01-'02 (2,2L)are different than the '00,is this true? I am also told that the intake manifold is somewhat different. Can
anybody tell me what would be involved in this swap,if any? I need to get on it cuz it's my to work gas-miser!(driving my Avalanche for now and the gas mileage SUCKS!)
Thanks,Dino
same motor as long as its an OHV from either year you will be fine. no difference in the motor.
i did a direct swap from my 00 2200 (spun rod) with a 01 sunfire 2200 (40K miles)
So the wiring harness' are the same as well as the manifold? Sounds like a straight swap. Thanks!!!!!!
It's a direct bolt in. The wiring difference is from 99 to 00.
