i have a 2001 chevy cav just in the last week or so when i start the car is starts rough idles high in and out to a point of almost stalling the transmation light come on flashes and the t/c light come on and stays on then after it warms up they both go away then one during the day the t/c light will come on for a few seconds


if anyone could help me with the problem it would be great to go to a shop it about 1hr away from my place here northern ontario

i think you need to get a code read 1st.

i dont know if there are differences for the canadian release....but no trans light down here.

(us) we just have a check engine light for the tranny codes and depending on the code , our antilock brake, brake or low trac light will come on. no tranny light. (maybe your talking about the traction control light?)
