Fuel Injector options
Wednesday, April 23, 2008 9:13 PM
So I have no idea what injectors I could swap inplace of my stock ones when I go turbo. I was looking at my datalogs again and I dont think I will have much room to tune the injectors much more before they exceed 80% to 85% duty cycle. Is there even an option in HPtuners to tune for the injectors on these motors??? I dont have my laptop at the moment to look.

I was gonna say that too. I think there's usually a set or 2 of them on Ebay as well as the GTP guys tend to increase boost levels.

Nate, I don't remember if the motor you have is using the Multec II injectors or the older style, but if they are the older style, you have a lot of options. Check out some of the high flow injectors for SBC engines. There are plenty of those around in all different flow rates. Summit Racing Equipment carries a bunch. Accell offers flow rates from 21lbs/hr to 62lbs/hr.

Something like these on ebay would probably work well for you in the boost app as well: Accell 36lb/hr injectors.

The above injectors will fit the ports in the LIM and the fuel rail?

If you have the older style, yes. If you have the newer style (tall, thin, plastic) you can not use them, but Accell does make compatible injectors, you'd probably just have to call Summit about it.

You should really talk to the guys on 60DegreeV6.com about suggested injectors for your application, as well as find out what others are using. I'm pretty sure the that 36lb/hr will work well for you and give you plenty of room for proper tuning, but there are some guys on there with lots of experience with modding the 3x00 engines.

Nate I bought a set of injectors for my s10 from these people, Excellent service and seems to be some good prices. They may even be able to recommend a set for you.
