So i replaced my I.C.M like 2 moths ago, along with new plugs. Well, two days ago i get in my car to go to work and it just cranks. doesnt even try to fire. okay so i come ohome later that day to tamper with it, i got it started but it idles sooo ruff. the weird thing is, it stays at 1000 rpm. doesnt go up or down. the motor just shacks all over the place, it even broke my top passanger side motor mount to give you an idea how back it shacks. well while its running souds like a damn V8 with a HUGE cam! it blows out gray smoke and gas drips out my tail pipe. I tried driving it out of my appartment and just to get it moving i have to give it 1/2 throttle. it has no balls...At ALL!!! i mean it sounds cool but anyone have any clues as to what it is or what i should check, beacuse im lost..=(

If its blowing gas out of the exhaust, the timing is really screwed up. Is it the eco, or 2200? Either way, I think the timing chain has skipped a few notches. You'll be lucky if you dont need to tear the engine down to change the valves.

yeah, its the 2.2 eco.. i was thinking it was the timing.. thats @!#$ty... i was hoping someone had this same problem and was something dumb.. the valve has been making a lot more noise lately also just right before this happen.

When i read the title the first time I thought it said "2200" cavy 2.2 eco" lol. Sad to hear man, but it does sound like the timing has skipped. For the price of an eco now, you could probably pick one up for less then it would cost to get it fixed at a shop with the price of labour.

na, im not going to fix it.. this thing has drained me. iv had less problems with my neon. lol its sad! lol im just going to part it out so i can put money into my rx-7. o well. thanks for the answers! =)
