Remove trunk unlock issue.

When you pop it, is it suppose to open right up for you or are you suppose to still lift up on it? I've never had this feature before, but when i hit the button inside or on the keyfob, i have to literally pry the damn thing up to open it. Also, my driver side door doesn't like to unlock with the keyfob. I can hear it working to try and unlock, but physically won't unlock the door unless you sit there and dick around with it a few times.

I've had this sunfire in my possession for a little over a day now, so its going back to the dealership and making them look at it.

On my fire, I have to lift the trunk lid once popped.... the spoiler's pretty heavy, but don't have to pry it open as it fully de-latches.

On my cav, it opens on its own once I shut the door due to air pressure differential.

my sunfire jsut pops, i have to go open it. but when i took off the rear filler once it flew right open so id say it depends on the wing and weight of the trunk overall. some do some dont.

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again

cody if you look in the trunk under where the rear speaker are at there are bars that run from side to side and have notches to adjust the tension to help lift the trunk. adjust those and lube up the lock assembly on the trunk that might fix your problem. as for the door might be a bad connection or a bad accuator. i would check with dealer on the door.

Yea, then there is something wrong with the trunk lid. Because i have to yank up on it and pretty hard as well. I looked at the locking/ actuator mechanism and it looks like its seen better days. I showed this to my salesman before i even drove the car off the lot so this issue is known, the driver side door issue might just be from the cold or something. Because once i dropped chris off at his house tonight and drove home. I locked my car, then it unlocked fine like 4 times right in a row. Then the rear defrost doesn't work.

So i've got a nice list going for them along with the quote from the body shop to fix their pop a dent guys @!#$ up in spider cracking my paint pulling a dent and the original deal with re-sealing the bottom door seams is at $1,000 bucks. Oh, their going to love me.

On my 03' cav sometimes the trunk will open when i shut the door, but other times i have had to really yank on the trunk to get it opened. I sprayed some WD-40 in the trunk latch and it freed right up.
