Just looking for some verification here. I checked the document entitled speaker sizes (look here before you post) and its saying that my car has 4x6 plates? This doesn't seem right, I haven't taken the door off yet, but it would appear to be a 5 1/4 or 6 1/2 with a tweeter? Would a component set work here? Or is it in fact a 4x6 plate with the appearance of a component set. Even crutchfield says 4x6 plate with and without monsoon system. Please advise.

Yes you can put 5 1/4s or 6.5s in with adapters.

you can bolt in 5.25" and a few 6.5" useing the jbody speaker adapters from metra. a few thers may also make them. or if you want to still go bigger, a 6x9 will go in if you cut your door pannel to mount them. personal i am useing 2 pairs of 6.5" componets in my doors but, they very modified pannels with 8" mid bass in the kicks.
