Ok, i got a new/ used tb off some one on the org and i'm gonna be puttin it in tomorrow, it's just a stock one and came with all the sensors. Is there anything that i need to know before installing it? Any pointers and info would be greatly appriciated. Oh and i have a 2000 cavalier 2.4L.

sounds like a possible vacuum leak, double check your vacuum hoses for leaks/splits.

Dont adjust the idle screw, its factory preset, you'll encounter more problems if you try it.

Odds are that its either a vacuum leak or a bad IAC motor, little quarter size round can looking thing with a wide 4 wire plug in it, 2 screws hold it on. Before you try any thing, unhook the battery for 5 min or so, and start it . It may have to go through a couple of drive cycles in order for the ecm to relearn its idle perimeters.
But be sure to check for vac leaks.
