My wifes 98 cav has the usual upper dash crack. Has any one successfully repaired it in the car and still look like new. Or am I just going to have to find a used one to put in.
Any one know what causes it?

im thinking about covering it up with some vinyl but thats pretty much it . You cant do much to it, they were stupid enough to make the dash one piece.
i will live with the crack , mine is no show car and drives the same crack or no crack, i just cant see it as a big deal. maybe if it is a 04 or so but on my 98 i will leave it as is
Ive had a dash carrier from a 00 listed in the classifieds for some time. I know its not the same as a 98 but have seen several 98s with 00-02 dash carriers in them.
but with the 00-02 dash carrier, isn't the set-up for the radio and HVAC switch so one would think it wouldn't line up properly. or is there a way to get around it?
