My 98 has 85K miles on origional chain. im sure it will be in there for another 85K.
my daily had 198k and all well, original motor. so no worries for any of you for a WHILE

None of you have ANY mileage on your timing chains. The LD9 runs off a timing belt from what I've been told...
LOL.. The Dealer Ship Recommend change the Time belts at 100,000Km or 60,000km.
But I have 192,000 on mine..

REALLY? I was told that if i hit 88mph I will travel through time. It must be true, that's what i've been told.
165K on the 2.4 in my GA. 115K on the first motor in my Cav. 18K on the second motor :-)

Wow, I've never really heard of anyone breaking their timing chain. I personally would have expected a tooth off the cam or crank gear to have broken off before a link in the chain would fail.

I have broking a timing belt before. On a Dodge Omi and my mom has a labaron that the timing chain jumped! Damn Dodge's.
I had a maverick that jumped the time chain but that was my own doing! ..
Oh-yea. I broke my timing belt on my 88 Sunbird GT 2.0 litre Turbo! But that was do to removing the oil pump! Which was a Pain!!
