I doubt it, the 96 was a 2.2 or 2.4 mated to an isuzu tranny, your 03 is an ecotec mated to a getrag

If you're talking about the bolts that hold the bellhousing to the engine, I would bet that they are the same. Even though the bellhousings between the OHV and DOHC engines are different, you're really talking about the bolt holes in the block, which are pretty consistant through most GM engines. Also, the 2.4 and Eco mate to the same bellhousings, so if it's from a 96 2.4, I would really think they should be the same. Your best bet is to stop by your local dealer's parts counter and ask the guy there. Just hope you don't get an ass that doesn't want to help you, just wants you to buy something.

^ 2.4 and Eco do not mate to the same bellhousings.

Interesting. This is the first I have heard of this. Every tranny discussion I have read has the Quad 4, 2.4, and Eco listed as sharing the same bellhousing.

Quad 4 and 2.4 yeah, but Eco no... dig up one of the posts if you can, every one I've read says no...

The bolts should work fine, its mainly just the bellhousing shape and bolt pattern thats different.

That was pretty much my original point. GM changes lots of things for no reason, but stuff like that they pretty much stick with the same thing. It's easy for them to use the same bolts on every engine regardless of tranny.
