Hey guys, I ran across a 96 Sunfire SE for $500 The clutch is out as the car will barely move at 4k rpms but it moves. The body is solid no rust, and a few light dents on the pass side. Oil is clean, coolant looks good, and the interior is cherry minus one cracked vent, and the sunroof is still functional. It has the old 2.2 with 145k on the odo. and clean tittle.

Are there any other things you guys can think of to double check before i pick up the car? I am going back for a second look in the daylight later this week and wanted to see if anyone else could think of anything i may have over looked. I have and 01 2200 5 spd and am preatty familiar with it but not the old 2.2 so any info on that would be gravy.

You wanna check out the headlight switch man 96 were natorious for it going you'll lose low beam first and they run anywhere from 80 to 120 depending on where you get it.

I believe there are more headgasket problems with the 2.2. Head changed in '98, and hopefully alleviated the headgasket issues (especially since I own a '99).

Thanks guys but I already got it and sold it. fastest 200 I ever made. lol I bought it and re sold it with out even fixing it. Thanks for your input though.
