Just since yesterday, I can no longer unlock my driver side door with my factory keyless remotes or the power unlock buttons inside the car. The passenger side will unlock and lock properly just like normal.
In addition to that, I can no longer pop my trunk with my keyless remotes either since yesterday.
Now, I was thinking it was my power door lock motor/actuator in the my driver side door. But, that should not have anything to do with the inability to pop my trunk anymore. Might it just be a coincidence or do you think that the BCM could be having problems since it controls both of those functions?
Any ideas?????
what are you driving here?
I dont think the bcm is the primary controller for the keyless entry.
There should be a module in one of two places, either in the trunk behind the left trim panel. Or under the drivers side dash. The easiest way to determine if you have the correct one is to look for a FCC Id #. If it has a that Id # then you have the keyless entry module.
As far as the exact reason that your having problems, I really dont know . You need to check the wires to the actuators to see if they are getting power and ground when the button is pushed.

Found the problem.....the RFS fuse was burnt out in the fuse block. Weird that some of the keyless functions worked and others didn't. 2000 sunfire gt btw..
fuses just dont burn i would still check out the wiring for exessive current or high resistance
