I was wondering if anyone here could explain, why some Cav/Sun I've seen, will either have, or not have, the seat belt guides located under the front seat head rest on the coupes.
Was it in an option package, or a seperate option, or maybe just certain, years or models got them.
Thanks for any info that might make sence to any of this.

I think most of the Z24/GT cars had them, if not all... the base model cars, I'm not so sure. It would be a part of the seat RPO option, not a separate on its own. The convertibles definitely didn't have them... nor did the sedans.

i have never seen them on a pre 98. does that mean anything or is it just coincidence?
my 95 didnt have them, always had a hard time reaching for the belt. My 01 has them. I thought that it was a gm screw up that they later fixed with the cheezy seat bracket. much like the seat side covers that always broke, then they replaced them with a shorter one right about the time the seatbelt brackets appeared.

You can take the off. By cutting or the right way to remove them is by reaching in behind the seat. To hard for me to explain. I would have to take pics while doing this to give better info. but if you just want them gone and don't plain on putting them back just cut them off.
