I am having problems with my wife's 99 cavi so I thought that I would consult the wealth of knowledge on the org first.
The problem is that it doesn't start all the time. Sometimes it does start but the dome light dims and the radio goes out. If it is running there are no warning lights on but when you drive the brake light and the ABS light will come on. I think it is the alternator but I am not sure. I can't get to Autozone till tomorrow night so any thought would be greatly appreciated. Also I know that it is not the battery because that is less than a year old. Thank you in advance to everyone that responds

Check the connections on the battery, ground on the block, and the alternator. Its either a bad connection, alternator, or battery.

thanks for the reply. I figured it out. The negative terminal bolt on the battery was stripped and the body ground was completely rusted.
