It would obviously be an export model for some godforsaken country. I ask because I just read that GM made Chevrolet Malibu cop cars for Russia. It's not much of a stretch to imagine a Chevy Cavalier cop model in Brazil or South America.
seen one in a movie once. can't remember which one, had denzel washington in it. but it was on the background of a scene. it was a 4 door

Not that I'm aware of... but the town I live in used to have a 1970-something Volvo as its only police car until (I think) 4 years ago. That got replaced by 5 Ford PI's.
There was a picture of a 4 door posted here once, I think it was mexican
A town close to me used a 4 door 2nd gen cav for a cop car. Adena ohio was the town. They dont have it any more. Another town had a 87 celebrity 4 door, that was a nice one. then they moved up to the current one , a 96 lumina 4 door. That was rayland ohio. Now I have seen sherrif cars around here that are either impala's or malibu's. Either jefferson or belmont county, I dont pay that much attention to them.
I have not seen a third gen cav for a cop car though.

I heard once that some place up north had cavaliers as tropper cars (at one time). These car were supposely custom made with the plans for the Z24 Technic ( GM pro-type). I heard this and have never found any proof so probably not.

It would have to be something that wouldnt involve any sort of pursuits. The California Highway Patrol probably wouldn't be using them, that would actually encourage more people to run.
Where I live I saw a blue cavalier looked like an LS sport that was unmarked and had someone pulled over on the side of the road.

mexico does have them... ive got a pic some where from when i was standing next to one in cancun!. it was hilarious... cops and no idea why me and a buddy we so fasicinated by their car. finally explained it to them, asked where the best tacos were, gave them a corona from my bag (just came from the store) and it was a happy day!
they made CNG fleet vehicles....im sure some of them were used for police
My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again
Kardain what is a ford Pi never heard of that.

yea, there was a sweet sunfire dare car that i think was in cali, saw it in a magzine
*searches for pics*
In pittsburgh I seen a few cop cars that were cavaliers. They were used in downtown area only
Our cop cars are Dodge Chargers...don't wanna try to out run one of those. However parking patrol uses Cavaliers.
i've seen some of the older caprice sedans being used as cop cars around here, but the engine is custom and on some of the ford crown vics they use the interceptor ones they take the governor off and add more horsepower to the engine and what not in case people try and make a run for it.
